Friday Games: Ste Curran & Karaokards

March 14, 2014 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Ste Curran is visiting the MIT Game Lab to give us a tase of his unique style of game related storytelling by reading his story The Queen to us, as well as showing his soon to be released game Karaokards which recently was successfully funded on Kickstarter.

Come join us at MIT in building 26, room 153 or watch online on our Twitch.TV channel.

ste_curran Ste Curran is a game designer, lecturer, author and consultant. He speaks at conferences and universities around the world on videogames and pop culture and works with developers and publishers via his new project, Agency, a creative consultancy set up in partnership with game critic Leigh Alexander. Chime, his synaesthetic puzzle game, was a critical success that fused music sequencers and Tetris, and he’s working on two unannounced projects in a similar vein. His most recent game isn’t a videogame at all: Karaokards is a card game that breaks down the intimidating walls that surround karaoke and makes the experience better for novices and veterans alike.
