SUMMARY:Student Postmortems from "Creating Videogames" class: Games for Humanitarian Relief
DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday\, December 10th\, at 1pm students from our MIT class “Creating Videogames” will show off their final game projects to the public in the Stata Center\, room 32-155! \nWorking in teams of 8\, students of CMS.611/6.073J have spent the last eight weeks developing polished prototype games\, made for a common client. This year\, our client was Pablo Suarez and his team from the Red Cross / Red Crescent Climate Centre. Our students created digital games for education on Cholera prevention in Ghana\, helping volunteers understand the challenges of helping populaces dealing with heatwaves\, evaluating risks in funding disaster preparedness based on forecasting models\, and for crowdsourcing data collection for large conference events. \nEach team will present its game live\, followed by a postmortem presentation about the overall process and challenges of their project. Please join us! \n
