Boston Indies: “Stop Remaking Mario”

January 16, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Sponsored by the MIT Game Lab

RSVP Required.

The MIT Game Lab is happy to host the Boston Indies group this January for their monthly meeting. As usual, doors open at 6pm for networking. The talk starts at 7pm.

“Stop Remaking Mario”

Seth and Kelsey are back from Omaha, Nebraska, after a three month adventure as paid artists-in-residency. There, they wowed the local art community with their “interactive art” (aka video games). They have a lot to tell you about their experience there and the art world in general. What does “the art world” think of video games? What does it take to make a game that is also art? And why should you do it?
